Music

We are very proud of our musical talents at St. Luke's. All of our children have lessons from music specialists including:

  • Mrs Rachel Holdcroft- Music Lead and Choir teacher
  • Mr Will Sherratt - African Drumming Teacher and Curriculum Lessons
  • Mrs Sam Ray - Brass Teacher

Our children learn to play the following instruments.

  • Reception and Y1 - Percussion Instruments
  • Y2 - Ocarina
  • Y3 - Ukulele
  • Y4 - Guitar or Violin
  • Y5 - African Drums
  • Y6 - Cornet, Trumpet or Baritone

Our vision for music is to create an environment in which a love of music underpins many parts of school life. We develop our pupil’s passion for a wide range of musical genres, giving them the tools to create their own music and enjoy a wide range of different instruments.
